What Women Want! Yes we are! 10/11/2009
What a whirlwind the last few days were!!! We just finished our third annual WWW Expo and we had a BLAST! We met so many wonderful women- inspiring women! Over the course of 2 days we got a great feel for what women are really looking for- great portraits, of course! We heard that women are looking for meaningful images that stand from the pack. They also want something different from their friends. In essence, they just want the best.  Wedding, Wedding, Wedding! 07/12/2009
 Ahhhh, our wedding season is almost over! John and I decided to take it a little easier this year: we decided to only take on 5 weddings this year. Three down. This year we have had some of the nicest couples/families ever! Beautiful loving couples all of them. Whenever we are lucky enough to cover a new couple's wedding, I try to take a moment and reflect on my own marriage. I listen to the vows & remember my own wedding day 11 years ago. I tend to get all misty all over again. Man, I just love weddings. So, here they are, three of the beautiful couples we have been lucky enough to photograph this summer! OK, well not really...but if you asked Jac, he woulda told ya different! Out here in Augusta we had a bit of a squall today. Lots of hail, even more rain and yet even more wind. Crazy crazy wind. We had enough wind to take out half of one of the largest trees in our yard. I breathed a sigh of relief, though, cuz it didn't come through the sun-room addition.  It is so hard to believe I am the mother of three....and that they are all growing up so darn fast! Yikes. Just last week my beautiful daughter, Laurel, turned 8. Where does the time go?! It's just plum crazy! Ya know, when you are in the thick of it, you think you will be dealing with diapers & teeny everything forever. Folks tell you that 'they grow up so fast.' It's hard to believe when they are all babies. Then, it happens, they grow up while you weren't watching. More and more each day I watch her start to have tiny flashes of teenager-hood. That's scary. Worrying about her hair, does her outfit look just right, 'do these shoes 'work' with this skirt' issues seem to pop up like sunny dandylions in a newly mowed lawn. Fortunately for me, she quickly forgets she is nearly a 'tween' and grabs her raggedy ol' Winnie the Pooh for a quick snuggle back into her childhood. Ahhh, the sun is shining, the breeze is soft, must be a wedding day for someone! John and I have the great honor of covering Molly Sweeney's wedding out in Belt today. I can't imagine a better day to have a wedding...heck, the birds are even singing. First Post! 06/25/2009
