Everything you ever wanted to know about us. Mostly.
Inspire Portrait & Design is a full-service, exclusive boutique portrait studio in Great Falls, Montana. We offer the best.....
Whoa, wait, that sounds WAY too formal. Let's loosen it up a bit- let me introduce us.
We are Amy & John Coe. We are Great Falls natives (one of us was a Bison & one a Russell-er...we'll let you guess which one of us was the cool one...)
In early 2003 I was making portraits of my kids in our dining room. Soon I was photographing friend's children, then the scope widened to friend-of-a-friend's children. One day one of the 'friend-of-a-friends' came to the house for portraits. At the end of the 'session' she asked what she owed me. I scoffed, rolled my eyes and replied
"Nothing!"
She promptly wrote me a check for $100 and I went into business the next day. Since that fateful day, I have spent countless hours dedicating myself to learning everything I can about the photography business. I have learned about lighting & posing & business tirelessly for the last 6 years.
In early 2007 we moved back to Montana. In the summer of 2007 my husband, John, started his photographic journey with Inspire Portrait. John moved out of the support staff position (read: financial backer) into an active participant in our growing business. Currently John helps me keep the business running smoothly behind the scenes & is also my second shooter at weddings.
We are so fortunate to have three beautiful children. They are the driving force behind what we are doing with Inspire Portrait. We want to give them the most important things in life: love & family. Owning our own business, we have that unique opportunity.
