So, as you are probably guessing I keep my other half hoppin' making me nifty new things.  It's a fact of his life- poor guy.  SO, when he makes me pretty new things, I have to kinda use 'em- and I try to do so a LOT- cuz I want him to keep making me nifty new play things!

This is Colette!  We made some very special pix for her birthday.  We wanted to show everyone the things that are most important to her!  Family is what it is all about, right?!

Families are fun- especially when they get to use a spiffy new prop!

This little gal may not look like it, but I think she is a party animal.  She wanted to party with the rest of us so she came along about 5 weeks early! 

What a teeny little peanut!  She was all squishy and sleepy- and the fastest newborn session I have ever photographed.  I loved every minute of our time together.

I feel old-ish.  Next week my beautiful, funny, smart daughter turns 10.  Where has the time gone?  In a year all three of my children will be in the double digits.  It is true what 'they' say- it goes so fast. Sure, when you are in the thick of it you think- Is this ever going to end?  Then one day it does.  Suddenly all those little baby socks are replaced with earrings and pretty baubles.  Somehow, though, some vestiges of childhood remain (she still sleeps with her ratty old Winnie the Pooh.) 

Don't grow up too fast, little girl.  I'm not ready yet.

I remember this guy when he was just a bump in his mommy's tummy- about 4 weeks ago, hahaha! So sweet, gimmie, gimmie, gimmie baby love!

Yesterday was a good day.  I met a spectacular PA, I visited with a dear friend and I met a gorgeous mommy and her new baby.  Ya know, I really AM a lucky little photographer!

Yesterday we were watching a movie.  Don't ask me how my brain works- somehow or another this idea popped into my head. 

Found that I do not enjoy macrame as much as I had hoped I would, LOL! Additionally, the slightest breeze wreaks havoc on balloon placement. Fortunately I had a decent pic of the balloon I could kidnap and put into the image. I may reshoot the balloon in the studio in case I decide to do this again. Also, I wanted to try this first with one of my kids, but they are now too long for the prop- so I had to steal my neighbor's kid.

I think this has a lot of potential!  Want your own?!  I have a whole buncha cute aviator gear, too!

Who says thinking outside the box is all that great?  Sometimes you gotta explore all the boundaries in your area- and make the best of whatcha get in life!  The Hicks family sure did!

I first met Tyler when he was 6 months old on Halloween.  Since then, this fella has gone intercontinental! His family moved to Germany before Christmas.  His momma came back for a brief visit and we got to update his first year portraits!  I LOVE CAKE SESSIONS!
