Oh how time flies. In so many ways the world turns faster and faster every day. I have known (and loved) Alec's mommy for over twenty years. That fact alone makes me stop and sit up and think about the distant and recent past. We both have been through a lot- especially his mom over the last year. That being said, I know that through a lot of things, this little man has helped his beautiful mother begin to blossom into the person she is meant to be.
This sweet little fella started out his life so teeny tiny, and a little on the early side (about 4 weeks early.) In all the times I have photographed this kiddo he has ALWAYS been the perfect dream-baby. He is full of smiles and love and sweetness. I photographed him in the hospital, before he was two weeks old, his first Halloween, with his Great-Grandfather in his handmade communion gown and now at a year old. When we have our own children, it is easy to get wrapped up in the day-to-day operations of life- so easy, in fact, that we don't realize the blur we are living through. Picking up tiny socks, washing umpteen Onsies, sleepless nights, learning to nurse- it all runs together as a blur, so much so that sometimes we wish it would go faster, then in an instant it is gone. Chubby little feet flatten as they walk, pudgy thighs lengthen into the sleek legs of childhood-and before you know it you have a hormonal fifth-grader who towers over you. Watching Alec over the last year has given me insight into my past, and into my future. Watching him grow in increments has helped me to consider slowing down a bit and appreciating the time I have with my kids while they still look up to me (sort of.)
Thank you Alec- you helped me understand my family a little more, you brought me closer to your momma again, and you just made the world a better place. Love you, Alec. Love you Big Amy, from little amy.
Life has been so busy lately! I have so many wonderful new images and people to show off to you!!!
First off, these little darlings were featured way back when I started this blog, so here they are again, just in time for the little one's big number 2 birthday! These two are always so sweet. Big brother is so smart, funny and outgoing. Little sister is a little more cautious, but once she warms up, watch out!
Without further ado, here they are! Sweet little babies!
Let's get something straight: I LOVE portraits. I love making them, I love looking at them and I love displaying them. I love everything there is to do with portraiture. Sometimes, however, I want to mix things up a little. Sometimes I want to display a group of photos together to tell the story a little more. Maybe I even just really want to highlight a really important portrait. This is where our exclusive montages come in. Sure, having a nice wall portrait of your family is awesome- sometimes you just need to tell the story a little more. I can design anything you want, from clean and simple lines to funky and crazy designs- you name it, we will do it. Have a quick look at the images below to spark your imagination!
Just a few more images from my fun little session yesterday! This little princess blows my mind- little dolly!
I would love to hear your thoughts on these- leave a comment, cuz my head isn't quite fat enough! *wink*
Cally is getting ready to celebrate her first Christmas AND her first birthday! What a perfect time to get dressed up and make some pretty snow angel pictures! More pictures from the session in another blog post- watch for Modern Miss Montana later today!
Liam is such a darling baby! He is currently going through a little 'stranger danger' anxiety. Now, this is not the first time I have had the opportunity to photograph this darling little fella- this is his third time in front of my lens. Oh well, as you can see, with a little time and patience we made some really cute stuff!
Happy Birthday, little man! And many more to come!!!
