Well Easter Sunday is almost here hope all the dinner, dress, and candy shopping is done! Sit back and relax for now, because I know how hectic any holiday can be, especially if you're the cook! But enjoy your family and friends, for that's the most important thing. Don't toss those great outfits out either! You can get some cute photos of your munchkins just in time for Mother's day! The good news is Great Falls is having its annual home and garden show next weekend to help better prepare us for our spring {In}spiration! Spring should be right around the corner, but no promises since we live in Montana! Starting 3pm on Friday the 30th the Home and Garden show will be open and {In}spire Portrait and Design will be there too! Come check out the booth for some special Mother's Day offers and a drawing for a chance to win some cool prizes! Also if you have had pictures taken in the last year, McAmy is working on free Facebook timelines for anyone who is interested! Just shoot us a message on Facebook and let us know, don't forget to hit the "like" button while you're there http://www.facebook.com/inspire.montana. Hope to see you all next weekend! While it seems Spring may be officially here, three days in to be precise; I am not so sure if the days are really getting longer or we have just been tricked into thinking they are by way of last week's daylight savings time. I heard a hilarious analogy regarding our governments tradition, which was: Only we can be tricked into thinking if you cut the top of a blanket off and sew it onto the bottom that it makes said blanket longer! The more and more I think about it, the more I have to admit I have been tricked for years and probably many more to come. I still miss you, my hour, but I will see you again next fall! But with Spring comes flowers, that is after we get past all that white fluffy stuff! And here are some photos that made me feel very springy indeed! So as long as we can keep the snow at bay for a few seasons, we may actually see some springiness Hopefully you are now {In}spired to go get some of your own springy photos taken! Give us a call at (406)-868-1663 to set up an appointment. And don't forget to check out the Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/inspire.montana, Be looking for our very Easter {In}spired photos of the day! Hello long lost friends! What a year it has been! This little gal may not look like it, but I think she is a party animal. She wanted to party with the rest of us so she came along about 5 weeks early! What a teeny little peanut! She was all squishy and sleepy- and the fastest newborn session I have ever photographed. I loved every minute of our time together. I remember this guy when he was just a bump in his mommy's tummy- about 4 weeks ago, hahaha! So sweet, gimmie, gimmie, gimmie baby love! Yes, I worked on Easter. I figure, folks are already dressed up and my kids are kinda past the Up Early for Candy stage so, why not? I worked with three families I had never worked with before and one I had. I had a GREAT time meeting new folks and reconnecting with others. We made some awfully pretty pictures, just have a look-see! Oh how time flies. In so many ways the world turns faster and faster every day. I have known (and loved) Alec's mommy for over twenty years. That fact alone makes me stop and sit up and think about the distant and recent past. We both have been through a lot- especially his mom over the last year. That being said, I know that through a lot of things, this little man has helped his beautiful mother begin to blossom into the person she is meant to be. This sweet little fella started out his life so teeny tiny, and a little on the early side (about 4 weeks early.) In all the times I have photographed this kiddo he has ALWAYS been the perfect dream-baby. He is full of smiles and love and sweetness. I photographed him in the hospital, before he was two weeks old, his first Halloween, with his Great-Grandfather in his handmade communion gown and now at a year old. When we have our own children, it is easy to get wrapped up in the day-to-day operations of life- so easy, in fact, that we don't realize the blur we are living through. Picking up tiny socks, washing umpteen Onsies, sleepless nights, learning to nurse- it all runs together as a blur, so much so that sometimes we wish it would go faster, then in an instant it is gone. Chubby little feet flatten as they walk, pudgy thighs lengthen into the sleek legs of childhood-and before you know it you have a hormonal fifth-grader who towers over you. Watching Alec over the last year has given me insight into my past, and into my future. Watching him grow in increments has helped me to consider slowing down a bit and appreciating the time I have with my kids while they still look up to me (sort of.) Thank you Alec- you helped me understand my family a little more, you brought me closer to your momma again, and you just made the world a better place. Love you, Alec. Love you Big Amy, from little amy. |
