Over the next few days I am going to look back over the past year with my family. Without them and their loving support (and occasional modeling) I wouldn't be here.
Today's memory is Mother's Day, 2010. As usual, I was on the computer working. I looked over and saw the kids drawing on each other.
"Dangint, guys! What are you doing?!"
THIS is what they were up to- 'Mom' Tattoos. (They are so cute, they make me so darn happy!!!)
Let's get something straight: I LOVE portraits. I love making them, I love looking at them and I love displaying them. I love everything there is to do with portraiture. Sometimes, however, I want to mix things up a little. Sometimes I want to display a group of photos together to tell the story a little more. Maybe I even just really want to highlight a really important portrait. This is where our exclusive montages come in. Sure, having a nice wall portrait of your family is awesome- sometimes you just need to tell the story a little more. I can design anything you want, from clean and simple lines to funky and crazy designs- you name it, we will do it. Have a quick look at the images below to spark your imagination!
What else can I say? She is simply perfect. Button nose, tiny ears, itty-bitty fingernails- all in perfect place, and perfect proportion.
Audrina slept through so many set changes and ideas- she made my job pretty easy. She had NO desire to sleep on her tummy, but that's OK. Tell me what you think- write a comment, and share with the world you thoughts on this pretty baby!
Yesterday I had the chance to catch up with two of my oldest friends. Two sessions, two families, too much fun!
The first family is made up of 10 cousins! TEN! Most of the kids are between the ages of 16 and 25, then there is little 8 month old Alec! What a blast! AND at the end Gramma even hopped in for a pic with all the grandkids! OMG! What a zoo, what a blast! Controlling 10 young people, their parents, support staff and fiancee's: Whew! I can only imagine how crazy Christmas Day was at Gramma's house!
The second session was for a dear friend I have been close to since we were in 5th Grade. 6 years ago we photographed her wedding- and now it was time to update family portraits! I had forgotten how much of a challenge 5 year-olds can be, hehehe!!! I am happy to report, though, that we got a few GREAT pix with an unwilling subject- yay!
Watch the blog tomorrow- I have a newborn to show off from yesterday, too- but you will just have to check back to see THOSE cute portraits!
Starting on January 3, 2010, Inspire Portrait will be offering a new and beautiful line of custom frame. These custom frames will be offered exclusively through Inspire Portrait. Each frame will be lovingly designed and painted or stained for each image individually! Come on down to the studio show room and see what all the fuss is about!
As our families grow, it is harder and harder to all be in the same place at the same time! Fortunately, families tend to gather at Christmastime! Today, the Noble family was all together in the same place at once- what a feat! For just under an hour we played and yelled and jumped and made some kick-butt images! Take time today to remember this moment- freeze time, save today forever, you will never get another today!
Have a wonderful day, I sure am!
Family portraits are important. Now, don't just think that I am saying this because I happen to make family portraits. I truly believe that documenting our families is so very important. Every day is special, even in the tiny ways. We can get caught up in the bigger picture- really easily. Sometimes it is important to take the time to cherish the little moments.
The W Family came to me in late fall to record one moment in time. By the time we were done about an hour of time had elapsed, but we recorded a lifetime of memories. We stopped time for a teeny bit. Janelle's babies will never be this little again- in fact, they are even at a special time of their lives for a short moment- that day they were aged 1, 2 & 3! Pretty cool, if you ask me!
How do you want to remember today?
Please don't throw things at my head. I know it feels early, but we gotta start thinking about Valentine's Day. I hate to start thinking about it until after Christmas, but we gotta.
Ladies, Valentine's Day 2011 is the time to really really blow his socks off. Why not give him something he REALLY wants. No, not tools, naked pictures. OK, well, maybe not totally nude, but something out of the norm!
At {In}spire Portrait we have over one-hundred costumes, and tons of props. All images that you order will be fully retouched and selectively smoothed. Don't worry about stretch marks and little lumps you are not crazy about. All of that will be taken care of. I promise.
Also, think about gathering your best friends together and hosting an intimate party! You bring the friends and wine and I will bring the camera and props out! Contact me today to talk more about what we can do for you!!!

PS Gentlemen, this year you can score big-time, too. Inspire Portrait, Planet Earth and a few other shops are coming up with an amazing gift basket special for you, too! Something that will make you a hero 'til the next V-Day!
Just a few more images from my fun little session yesterday! This little princess blows my mind- little dolly!
I would love to hear your thoughts on these- leave a comment, cuz my head isn't quite fat enough! *wink*
